Clue #1 - The neck

Before you can start with the jumper you must have chosen the size you’ll knit. We’ll be knitting size 2 years (marked in bold text), so make sure you follow the instructions corresponding to your size.

SIZES:
By age: 2 - 3/4 - 5/6 - 7/8 - 9/10 - 11/12 - 13/14 years
By height in cm: 92 - 98/104 - 110/116 - 122/128 - 134/140 - 146/152 - 158/164

Let’s start knitting!

First, a short overview of the jumper:
The neck and yoke of this jumper are worked in the round, from mid back and top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles.

DOUBLE NECK:

Cast on 80-84-86-88-90-94-96 stitches with DROPS Karisma colour 85, light beige, using short circular needles size 3 and 4 mm held together. Remove the needle size 4 mm and work with size 3 mm (In the smallest sizes, use double pointed needles size 3 mm if the circular needle is too long). This gives you an elastic cast-on edge.

Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 7 cm.

Fold the neck double to the inside and work 1 more round of rib, working every 2nd stitch together with its corresponding stitch on the cast-on edge.

You now have a double neck.
